Amazon Web Services

UX design of an interface for managing servers

Duration: 4 months

Location: Berlin

Challenge

For this project, I worked with the user experience design team at Amazon Web Services and focused on one of the AWS consoles. Some of the customers using the product had an extremely large number of server instances and other IT infrastructure that they needed to manage and control through the interface. As a user experience designer, my job was to redesign the existing control panel to accommodate the needs of these users.

Approach

💬 Conducting user interviews and defining and prioritizing user stories that describe the most important functions

🎨 Creation of wireframes, mockups and clickable prototypes through to the final interface design

Result

At the end of the project, I developed a new interface design that includes performance analysis and a sophisticated but easy-to-use search bar that works with autocomplete tags and doubles as a navigator.
