Strategy revision for a PE-backed EdTech venture

Challenge

Founded in 2007, Babbel is one of the most successful startups from Berlin. In order to continue to stay at the forefront of the edtech industry, the company regularly renews its strategy and also looks at new technological trends and business opportunities. In this project, I supported the company in close collaboration with the executive and leadership teams in defining the cornerstones for the upcoming years.

Approach

🧭 Planning and alignment of the strategy review process and definition of the desired output from different working groups

📊 Leading a work stream to define and evaluate a new business opportunity through market and competitor research

🗯 Conduction of customer interviews and setup of an online questionnaire to collect insights about potential target customer segments

✍🏻 Conduction of workshops with the executive and leadership teams as well as the strategy department to develop product ideas and prioritise business opportunities
